Launch Day for The Gaia Paradox is Approaching!

Less than three weeks!

The Gaia Paradox, the third novel in the Voyages of the Delphi science fiction trilogy will be released on July 7, 2026, by NewLink publishing, first as an eBook and then as a paperback.

“This is the final book in Dorman’s trilogy, but it stands well on its own. The prose is lucid and flows well, both in action sequences and in interpersonal scenes, and it always keeps the scientific aspects of the story clear, an engaging read, particularly for those interested in AI, androids, and artificial environments.” Kirkus Reviews

Despite being the third and final novel in the series, The Gaia Paradox is a stand-alone novel, filled with adventure, danger, excitement and, as the other two books in the series were, real science and intriguing philosophical questions.

Ezekiel, the copy of a human brain in the body of a twenty-third century android, and the other members of the Delphi crew, headed by its commander, the biologist, Hero, along with his insightful and creative, second-in command, the mathematician, Hypatia, visit the planet Travoli, In the midst of their visit to the planet, its leaders get an emergency call from one of their military commanders. On his return to his home planet, the commander’s ships  have encountered a mysterious asteroid. Upon stopping to explore the asteroid, his soldiers have come down with a strange disease that turns them into aggressive cannibals who have attacked each other. Most, perhaps all, of the human crew are dead, and the Travolian leaders ask that the Delphi go on a rescue mission to the asteroid to see if there are any remaining human crew members alive.

The asteroid turns out to be a beautiful, hollowed out paradise that once served as a long-distance starship for the last of a human race from a distant planet. During the Delphi crew’s exploration and hunt for surviving humans, Ezekiel must solve the puzzle of the mysterious deadly disease, and the Delphi crew must fend of the attacks of the survivors from the ships from Travoli, who are determined to kill them.

The story is an exciting, scientific mystery, and all the other life on the asteroid hangs in the balance. The surprise ending is both philosophically enlightening, and totally unexpected.
